In the future God will be zealous for Zion.  He will save His people, and their fasts will become feasts.  People from all nations will seek the LORD in Jerusalem. 

The people ask Zechariah if they should weep and fast in the fifth month.  God asks them if they really fasted for Him.  He desires obedience more than fasting. 

Zechariah has a vision of a flying scroll containing a curse against thieves and liars.  He also sees a basket containing a woman that is taken to Babylon.

Zechariah has a vision of gold lampstand with two olive trees supplying the oil.  The word to Zerubbabel is that it is not by might or power but by God's Spirit.

Zechariah sees Joshua the priest and Satan accusing him.  The Lord rebukes Satan and clothes Joshua in robes of righteousness.  The BRANCH is coming!

God calls the people to return to Him.  The prophet Zechariah sees four horses that go throughout the earth.  God speaks comforting words concerning Jerusalem. 

The glory of the latter temple will exceed the former one. The people had been defiled,but now they would be blessed because of their obedience.

Haggai prophesies to the people to rebuild the house of the LORD. They expected muchbut received little because the temple was in ruins. The people obey.

Zephaniah prophesies against rebellious Jerusalem.  Judgment is coming, but the nations will worship the Lord.  Jerusalem will rejoice and sing in that day. 

Zephaniah calls the people of Judah to repentance before the day of the Lord's anger.  Then he pronounces judgment on the surrounding nations.
